Caring for your
Home
Brian Grainger Construction, Inc.
has built a solid home for you using quality materials and
experienced craftsmen. All materials used in the construction
of your home meet our specifications for quality and durability.
We supervise all work done on your home to attain the best
results for your investment. A home is one of the last
hand-built products left in the world. Assembled with both
natural and manufactured materials, the components interact with
each other and the environment. Although quality materials and
workmanship have been used in your home, this does not mean that
it will not require care or maintenance. A home requires care
and attention from day one. For a quality home that lasts a
lifetime, general homeowner maintenance is essential.
Maintenance and Use Guidelines
Brian Grainger Construction, Inc.
is proud of the homes we build. We strive to create
long-lasting value. This cannot happen unless you properly
maintain your home and all of its components. Maintenance is
necessary because of normal wear and tear, the materials used in
your home, and normal service required by the mechanical
systems. Natural changes in temperature and humidity also
affect your home and should be monitored.
Many times a repair done
immediately saves a more serious, time consuming and costly
repair later. Neglect of routine maintenance can void
applicable warranty coverage on all or part of your home. With
attentive care, you ensure your enjoyment of your new home for
years to come. The attention you provide contributes
significantly to the health and safety of your family.
It is impossible to anticipate
and describe every attention needed for good home care, but we
have tried to cover as much as possible in this manual. The
subjects covered include the components of your home, listed in
alphabetical order. Each subject includes suggestions for use
and maintenance, followed by Brian Grainger Construction Inc.’s
limited warranty guidelines. If you have any questions or
concerns that fall outside of what is covered in this manual,
please feel free to contact us.
Please take time to read the
literature provided by the manufacturers of consumer products
and other items in your home. The information in that material
is not provided in this manual. Complete and mail the
manufacturer’s warranty registration cards included with their
materials. In some cases, manufacturer’s warranties may extend
beyond the first year and it is in your best interest to be
aware of the extent of coverage.
